Do not spend the blank cheaply

If you score almost as much without it, keep the blank.

Learn the tactic

You need not play the blank at once. If a strong move is possible without it, play that and save the blank for a bingo. Do not wait forever, though: a blank left at the end is a wasted chance.

Remember

A blank should bring a clear gain – say 30 points or a bingo.

Find your own move without seeing the answer. Hints remain available, but using them makes this an assisted attempt.
