The red square is not everything

A triple-word square is not always the best move.

Learn the tactic

Red squares are tempting, but the gain depends on the letters you put there. Before you take one, check the rest of the board. Often another spot scores more, and the red square may still be there for you.

Remember

Compare moves by points, not by square colours.

Find your own move without seeing the answer. Hints remain available, but using them makes this an assisted attempt.
